### How ordering works

1. Choose your plate style.
2. Enter the wording, colors, artwork and other details you want.
3. Upload a clear house or pet reference photo when your design needs one.
4. We review the details and prepare the design for production.
5. Your plate is hand-painted and kiln-fired. Production takes about 3 weeks before dispatch.

### Please note

The shape is selected from the five listed styles and cannot be changed. It can be used as a serving plate or displayed as a ceramic plaque/house sign. A hanging cord, wall hook or display stand is not included; the hanging hole is for optional display only. For outdoor display, choose a sheltered location and avoid assuming freeze-proof or permanently weatherproof performance unless the studio has confirmed it for the specific piece. Colors and hand-painted details may differ slightly from a screen or reference photo.

### Care

Wash gently by hand with mild soap and a soft sponge. Avoid abrasive cleaners and sudden temperature changes. Unless the studio has separately confirmed testing for a specific piece, do not promise dishwasher or microwave use in the product listing.

### Shipping

Made and dispatched from Jingdezhen, China. Production takes approximately 3 weeks. Transit time varies by destination; delivery to many European and North American destinations is commonly about 1 week after dispatch. The carrier’s tracking estimate is the best delivery estimate once the parcel is moving.

## Personalization fields

Use these WooCommerce product fields:

– **Personalization details** (required textarea): family name, address, date, message, preferred colors and pattern notes.
– **Reference photo** (required only when house or pet artwork is selected): allow up to 3 JPG/PNG files, recommended maximum 20 MB each.
– **Additional inspiration** (optional file upload): up to 2 JPG/PNG files.
– **Proof approval** (required checkbox): “I understand that handmade color and brushwork may vary slightly, and I have checked my spelling and personalization details.”

Ask customers to upload JPG or PNG files. Offer an order-reply email or a private cloud link as a fallback for large files or unsupported HEIC files. Uploaded files should be attached to the WooCommerce order and kept private; do not place customer photos in the public WordPress Media Library.

## Recommended returns and damage policy

Because each plate is made to order and personalized, returns for change of mind, incorrect customer-supplied spelling, or a change in design preference are not accepted after production begins. Customers may request a correction before production starts.

If the plate arrives damaged, has a production defect, or differs materially from the approved personalization, the customer should contact Lychee Legacy within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the plate, packaging and shipping label. Keep all packaging until the case is resolved. Lychee Legacy should offer a replacement/remake or a full refund at its cost. A remake follows the normal approximately 3-week production time before dispatch. This policy does not limit any mandatory consumer rights that apply in the customer’s country.
