Every custom porcelain piece begins with an idea.
Sometimes that idea arrives as a sketch, a reference image or a few words about colour, shape and the setting where a piece will be used. It may be a small personal detail, a special motif or a direction for a wider collection.
At Lychee Legacy, we begin by looking closely at the brief. We consider the intended form, the colour range, the surface and the feeling a piece should carry. This is a starting point for conversation and testing, rather than a fixed template.
From there, material decisions begin to take shape. Our team tests glaze and colour formulas, makes pieces by hand and fires them in small stages. The first result is often a way to learn: a colour may shift in the kiln, a surface may need refining, or a detail may need another approach.
This process is part of what makes custom work meaningful to us. It allows us to explore ideas through porcelain while staying attentive to the material itself. Clay, glaze and fire each have their own character, and the work develops through observation and adjustment.
The custom pieces in our studio can take many forms, from small figurines and illustrated cups to objects created around a particular theme or visual direction. For designers, hospitality spaces and boutiques, a custom conversation can also begin with how a collection should feel in its setting.
We are continuing to develop this part of Lychee Legacy as our independent brand grows. What matters most is a thoughtful brief, open communication and enough room to test, make and refine.
